When you drag that heavy built like a tank unit made for hunting in the water where its excells may just say you know should have bought a land CZ especially inland where you will be hunting without a meter.
As far as settings your main concern is the sens. which may have to be turned down in extreme wetsand situations...By the way every saltwater beach differs and even changes from day to day so time to go out and experiment in the conditions you mention. You can read all the books and posts but in the field is where its at...good luck in your ventures..
