:fisher: :usaflag: B&W scan of the F-75 Display Screen :fisher:

I just couldn't get a better view of the scan, sorry.

Some new things that caught my eye.

We have a confirmation scale on the display. The higher the reading, he greater the possibility of the ID being correct.

Process #: Not to certain on this adjustment. I believe it's about adjusting the processor control ???

Stat / Motion in All Metal: Stationary or Motion mode in All Metal searching.

Notching, and/or variable discrimination.

I like that Confirmation Scale idea. Seems very useful.

It also appears to have a graphic depth display on the left. I assume that's in addition to a number being displayed when in pinpoint mode as on the T2. I really like the idea of depth being displayed during the sweep. That way you get all the info at one time: target ID plus confirmation value plus depth all at once. I like that a lot.

The "Process #" adjustment intrigues me. Could this have to do with number of signals (targets) being processed at one time? Or, maybe an adjustment of recovery speed? I would guess it has to do with selecting from various modes of how signals are processed like the T2's tone menu.

Anyway, it looks promising.

Now I have an idea of what the features are and what is going on and can actually begin forming an opinion.

So this is what I am seeing...

All metal:
+Choice between no motion and motion all metal modes (new)
+Threshold adjustment (same as T2)
+Audio Pitch-threshold??? or target??? (new)
+All metal sensitivity setting (same as T2)
+Manual GB (same as T2)

Discrimination:
+Sensitivity setting (same as T2)
+Disc Level-noticed no hot rock level and that the number range is different from the T2 with an expanded lower conductive range (new)
+Notching- Iron through Zinc. Still leaves the question unanswered as to if multiple notching is available. I'm assuming it is (new)
+# of Tones - just that- single tone vs various tone id options (new because of the Process # feature)
+Process # - target processing modes (new because it is split off of the # of tones feature)

+Depth graph (new)
+Confirmation graph (new)
+FE3O4 graph (same as T2)

+Message center (same as T2 but in new spot)

Now I can be impressed and say that I like where it is going.

Bill....will it use both concentric and DD coils?

Thanks

Hi EC,

The T2 links the number of tones and the target sampling process options together. It appears here that these two features are being split into their individual controls.

So I could select a 3 tone "# of Tones" option and select a "continuous" target sampling process selection from a short list. Most likely the list will contain "Continuous and sampled at a minimum.

Of course I am just speculating based upon what I know about the T2 and some past conversations with the engineers around it.

The Confirmation scale will probable be a big help with the steel bottle caps.

I agree. It now looks interesting now that we can see some concrete features.

Hi Mike

From what was said, it should be available with concentric & DD coils.

I doubt we will be aware of what & the sizes, until the release date.

Yeah, I think you've probably nailed it. Makes perfect sense. With my T2 I've wished I could separate those 2 features. Looks like we'll be able to do that with the F75.

Wow! That's pretty cool in itself!

I knew those aliens were up to something. They are intergalactic interlopers who are metal detecting fanatics come here to take all our coins away!:starwars:

Yes it will ID.

You didn't pay attention to my post. What I said about the coils is from the factory. Do you think I made this up as I went ?

And just as powerful...Maybe F75 has a couple different features spinoffs of the T2....Need to see how the F75 handels it's control panel. If it's just as easy to switch from one feature to the other...I'll probably pick one up and decide from there. Sounds and looks promising anyway...And Thanks Bill for the display pics!
