Hello guys, a friend wants to buy this detector but we dont know if its 19 khz or 71 khz, ive been reading some web pages and some say its 19 and others say its 71 khz...........19 or 71 khz?

is it a good detector?, they are selling it for 190 dollars, what do you think?

thanks

Original GB was 19 kHz---GB 2 was 71 kHz.-----If it's got an iron switch (check) on it, it's a GB 2.-----$190 is a good price if it has no problems & works well, check it over thoroughly.

I have the gold bug 2 M-Scope and it's 71 khz...... if it has the two piece white lower leg it's the older version (which i have) if it has three piece black lower legs it's the newer version. $190 is a great price if it works good.

Gold Bug 2s are usually close to $500 as they have a cult following as the premier small gold detector. Fisher could have done us a big favor by not reusing the name on a totally different line of detectors. IMHO
