Fisher M-95 any good? Need HELP

marcus

New member
I just bought a fisher m-95 to find a leica range finder buried in a plowed field ,It has a nine volt battery inside a rubber case. ( dont ask how it got lost , dont like to talk about my buddy riding his atv in the night ) and to use on s couple old Va farms. I dont know much about detectors and would like some input on this machine. Does it have any depth compared to the new ones and how sensitve is it.Basicly is this unit worth messing with or do I need a diffrent kind of model Apparently this unit was made for utility companies. Id like to find a manual for it also I am totally new to metal detecting and this is the first one Ive ever bought. I havent even got it yet so I migh need some help calibrating it.
Thanks

Contact Fisher for a download of a user's guide. Its basically a commercial variant of the hobby detectors-it is strong enough for your purpose. Depending on how big your target is a pipe locator could be faster and miss small items. If nothing else you could follow his ATV tracks.
