:fisher:LETS FACE IT"COIN$TRIKE" IS #1:clapping:

I with you ,the COIN_STRIKE is number 1 and it will be a long time before its number 2. I don't understand why Fisher dropped their best unit. Any-one that dose not have a COIN-STRIKE should on now.

Thats to bad, I bet it's a good one. I've seen a lot of good finds with them posted on here. I've hunted with a lot of fishers but not the Coinstrike, always wanted to try one.

I'm getting mine next week what I would like to know is how deep will it go, what about power lines, disc on small rusty iron, learning curve

I have a 1220x, 1225x,GB2 and a whites XLT

any help pls
thanks Joe

With a learning period but does like round rusty objects which it calls high coins. Since its been discontinued one can be picked up rather cheaply. In my neck of the woods depthwise about 7-8 inches. Subject to outside interferences but does work better in junkier areas than most Fishers. Will it beat your XLT I don't thnk so..

Have detected for 35 years and had many detectors but just got my first C$ and am bound and determined to make it work good for me. Thanks to all who post the words of optimism. I have a couple other machines I really like but was trying to fill a spot for increased depth in trashy areas. Thus far OK machine I just need to figure out a good way to eliminate the darn rusty bottle caps and I'll have it made. Maybe with more time I'll figure out a way to separate them. As for now I'm just digging them and every now and then I get a nice surprise.

Thans Dan for your input
No I'm not trying to beat my XLT I have 5 coils for it and use every one depending on the area. I just want that little edge I go to alot of places Ghost towns, old home sites that have trash like you wouldnt believe.
Thanks

I've had my C$ going on my third year now and I do not see any compelling reason to purchase a different or newer detector (don't care what brand or model) - once you learn and master the C$, it can't be beat!!! Just hope First Texas continues to honor my lifetime warranty, if or ever I do need any service work on my C$, since they are discontinuing it. Happy C$ - Hawkeye Jim.
