Fisher Impulse Review from Japan

Just would like to say I bought a Impulse about 8 years ago and have done great with it at resort beaches here on Okinawa and have made Thousands...Yes...Thousands! Work most of the time at night on super low tides and with my son. We avg over $100 a night in about 4 hours or so. Using a light, mask and snorkel with a ping pong paddle.
The high rate of money found is coz every find is most of the time 100 yen that = about 1 dollar, and then there is 500 yens, that is about $5 I have found 14 of these in one trip :)
The Japanese don't care for this kind of thing at all...I hope it stays that way!
The Impulse has been great and no problems at all! Batteries last forever! I almost got my detector paid for on the set that came with it!
If you get a leak in the battery compartment, it won't get into the rest of the detector. Mine still looks like new!
Good Luck and take care!
PS: I love it when I fan the bottom and see that gold ring emerge!
Picture: 18 Gold..Found at Manza Beach. This thing is so heavy you could hurt someone if you threw it at them :)

That's a neat lookin ring!

I was imagining that a Yakuza boss owned it and he lost it at the beach while on vacation.......

If you could, would you post another picture of it next to something to give the ring some scale? An American dime, nickle, penny or quarter would be great. Or just something universal that everyone recognizes.

Have you weighed it?

Also, can you translate what the symbols mean into English? That would be great.

Please post more pictures of good stuff you find in Okinawa.....

I have been in Okinawa now almost 20 years and have been detecting here since 1993. Almost all resort beaches are now off limits to metal detecting! I have asked several times and have been told NO!
I am fluent in Japanese and they still said NO! If you want to talk with me give me a call. I have a Fisher Impulse as well.

Thanks
