Fisher ID Edge or .....

My wife currently uses Garrett Ace 250. Mostly coin shooting .She likes the lightweight but HATES pinpointing with it. I was wondering if the ID Edge would be a suitable replacement for the Ace 250? Thanks for any feedback

I never used the 250 but did own the Edge with 3 coils. It pinpoints with laser precision and you can swing it fast or slow. It goes quite deep but the ID numbers start getting jumpy past 6 inches. I now use the Coinstrike. They are quite similar and they get about the same depth. The Edge is a very good detector and its very light. HH, Dave

I'm going to say that the Edge would be an upgrade to the ACE. (keep in mind that the ACE is a current model and the Edge isn't)
The Edge is very light weight.
You can adjust the arm cuff for a shorter armed person.
The staff adjust down a fair amount for shorter people as well.

I'm not a fan of the all metal tone of the Edge, but you can get used to it.

what about F5?
Popular.
Current Model.
In the Fisher line its a move towards the middle of their line up.

But the cost just went up, (you should be able to find an Edge for around $250.00)
Its probably a little more difficult to use than the Edge.
It gives you more screen information than the Edge.
You do get an upgrade to an 11" DD coil with the F5.
