Fisher I.D edge pinpoint /auto buttons problem

Hi....Has anyone had problems with pinpoint and auto ground balance buttons not working 50-60% of the time...I'm new to this machine and it was in like new condition when I got it..But.....The buttons don't seem to work all the time..I would like to know if Fisher still works on these also..Thanks to everyone

From what I see here on this forum the buttons on the Edge and the CoinStrike are a little touchy. Got to press them just right to get them to work.

On the Coinstrike you have to hold them in for a second or two before they work, they are setup with a delay. I haven't ran the Edge enough to notice that, I'll say its likely the same and I've gotten to where I just do it automatically.

I gotta say when i owned my Fisher ID excel .I had a issue with my push pads lol some of them just wouldnt work any longer so i had too send it in too fisher too get fixed and it was fine after that and come too think of it i was pushing too hard on them :(

Get those little round rubber stick on bumpers. You know the things that go inside a kitchen cabinet door? I think even the dollar store has them. They work great on the tactile pads of all those units. That's a tip from the Coinstrike homepage.

The Edge has an odd lag in the keypad. I initially sent my newly purchased unit in to Fisher because I thought it was defective. It came back the same as it was and I embarrassedly discovered it was me. After I learned how to wait a second for the input to register, it worked just fine.
