Fisher F75se2 and T2 classic

these are a couple of my favorite detectors. along with F70 . over the last month ive done alot of testing between the T2 classic and the F75se2.. on my 2 machines i have noticed that the T2 is slightly faster than the F75 is in de mode. BUT the F75 is faster than the T2 is in fa mode. in ground tests what i have found is the F75se2 in fa mode is almost identical depth wise to the T2 classic.both same settings. the only 2 differences i can find is the T2 is oh so slightly deeper on tiny gold and a nickle . now this is my detectors that test this way as there may be variances between other machines. also the F75se2 is deeper than the T2 classic in all other modes air tests and in ground. this is ohio and its mostly decent soil. let me know if anyone else has compared these two detectors.. and results.

i posted this on the tek forum.

Me too! For me using the F75se2 in fa mode is like using a faster T2.. I tried sens on 60 for both and 99 and only diff other than what i already said is F75se2 is quieter at full sens. There are a couple of masked targets i located in fa mode with good signal , T2 setup the same had a signal but wasnt as good and then trying F75 de mode signal got worse than both.. Basically a non dig signal or close to it. So fa mode really shines.. To my surprise fa mode is also deeper than i would have thought. The F75se2 is really like having several machines.

The only comparison I can make is I had a regularT 2 and regular F 75 at the same time some years back and found the F 75 to be about 1 full inch deeper. Of the three F 75's I've had, the LTD model with boost mode seemed to be the most chatty of the three. My current model with DST is a very quiet running unit and has the most solid tid, and is the deeper of the three in de mode, it appears. HH jim tn
