Fisher F75 - upper stem problem

New member
Hello everybody,
this is my first post on this forum. I'm from Poland, so at first sorry for my English. Today morning I found an interesting post on our polish forum about problems with upper stem. Here is the link to this post where You can find the pictures which shows the problem. http://www.poszukiwanieskarbow.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=68235

The owner said that maybe because of too intensive waving of the detector it get broke itself after some time. He suggest that maybe the problem lays in the holes where the screw enters which he thinks they are too big. Because of that the stem is weak in this area and can brake after long time of waving the detector. I hope I clearly describe the problem.

Do You have any idea and suggestions, is some of You had the same problem?

Regards,
Radhar

First I've heard of that. I'd e-mail the factory and see wht they think. Might be covered under warranty.

I would like to see a larger coil for the F75 - but this breakage would surely limit the detector to the present size coils. Even with the stock coil I am usually using a small diameter bungie cord to better distribute the swing force.

PS - if one uses a bungie cord be sure to also attach a short cord to near the arm rest so the detector does not fall when one kneels to dig the target. Lance
