Fisher F75 Special Edition for Prospecting

I have been using the Fisher F75 Special Edition a lot the last three years and have found quite a bit of gold with it. I did a couple reports up for Fisher some time ago. Iwas Googling around on some stuff yesterday and found Fisher has put a page up with the blurbs at http://www.fisherlab.com/hobby/finds-Steve-Herschbach.htm

I am not going to do a big sales pitch on the F75 as a prospecting machine. It is overkill for most people as a prospecting detector unless all the other features are desired for other purposes. But the fact is the all metal Boost mode proved to me multiple times to have a slight edge over the Gold Bug Pro on pennyweight and larger nuggets, the type I chase in tailing piles. When they come out with the Gold Bug Super Pro with Boost mode I can ditch the F75 SE but until then it remains one of my favorite all metal detectors. There are other detectors that can give it a run for the money but none that feel as good on my arm.

I have a new page on the F75 and nugget detecting at F75 and Gold Nuggets

I'll wait for the multi-frequency GB Uber Pro 2 that has both the bost mode as well as an option to switch up to 60 Khz. Auto ground balance and wireless headphone set up too. I'd pay a premium detector price for that.

When will MULTI FREQUENCIA arrive at the market?

i too have found nuggets with the stock f75
the first day out with the stock coil it found a 1/5 of an ounce nugget at 7 inches & a small 1 gram nugget near the surface
its now my #1 detector for nuggets & coins & jewerly
i love the smooth tone in the all metal .
& its a joy on my arm.. :detecting:

Very nice!

I do like the all metal mode on the F75. One of the best. The discrimination mode I am less fond of. The unit has very jumpy target ids and is very prone to electrical interference so it is far from the perfect detector. But what it does well it does very well.

i find if i turn the sensitivy down a bit the f75 still gets good depth but the electrical interference gos away
normanly i run the sensitivty between 40-60 sometimes higher if conditions allow
yesterday i was by a very bad power transformer & i had to set it allthe way down to 8 yet she still did very well not fantistic but i was very suprised at the depth i thought all would be lost  lol
the small coil should help with the interferance
not perfict but im loveing my f75

The small coil does indeed help a lot with EMI. For in town use though I find where I am at my Gold Bug Pro actually does better for me simply because it ignores EMI with the 11" coil that makes my F75 practically unusable.

I have had excellent results with the DeTech 13" Ultimate on my F75 SE, again, out and away from EMI. Gets that extra inch.
