Fisher F75 large after market coils ??

I'm looking at adding a larger than stock 11" DD coil. I'm looking at the NEL Tornado or a 13" Ultimate. Have any of you used either or both of these coils? Let me know what your all experiences with either of those coils was. Thanks Morgan

Morgan----I have used the 13" Ultimate.----Of course it provided better coverage & I gained about 1" depth (in my ground) from the 11" stock coil..------I used the Tornado & the weight of it wears you down compared to the 13" Ultimate.------Del

Thanks for your reply Del. I'm leaning more towards the 13" Ultimate.

I also had the 13" Ultimate, as stated above it will get you about an 1" to 1-1/2" over the stock 11" coil. You will also get a little less target separation.

I traded mine for the 5x10 DD elliptical.

Good luck,

Ron

is good but heavy. (and lighter than that 15" Fisher) :poke:
Nel are lighter, but have had QC issues. (might be gone now--they are at 4th or 5th generation now)
Check out the Mars units.-have had very good results with them.
I have found most loops of similar size have depth & separation that are similar--but quietness can be another matter-and these are all DD coils too (noise is more prevailant in this design-in my experience.)
The bigger loops are Much Deeper, & i.d. deeper if you are using the all metal non motion mode---often deeper than you want to dig: recovery speed & target separation is NOT
a problem in this non motion mode, relative to the motion mode.
Most all the loops are compared on youtube.
If you have a problem identifying bottlecaps & steel washers, (with DD's) pm me--there is a way to identify them about 99% of the time w/ the F-75.
