Im just leaning to find coins and metal with AM mode and its seems to be very accurate. Any body have any hints or experances.

It's a real plus that with the F5 you get the discrimination numbers when searching in AM.

But since you don't get tones in AM, you've got to pay a lot closer attention to the ID.

Mike Hillis has made a ton of very informative posts here on the F5 that will tell you way more than I can.

I'd suggest doing a search of his posts.

Good luck with the F5, it's an excellent coinshooter.

I agree on both points F5 is a great machine have found lots of stuff-good and bad using the different settings, and read everything written on it by M.Hillis-hes the man when it comes to F5.I look forward to reading all his post on the subject

Thanks for the kudos woodwizard but truth be told I haven't hunted much in the all metal mode. I'm a tone id fanatic even if it is just ferrous/non-ferrous. About the only time I've hunted in all metal was a site where the ground was so bad that the disc mode couldn't id anything beyond three inches. In that ground I didn't try to get a id number in all metal, I just retrieved what ever had a solid sound to it
