fisher F5 Review / tips / tricks / etc

Ok, I know Mike Hillis has a done a ton on this, but for the life of me I can't find anything... Can someone provide me with some links or in depth tips and tricks. I havent really had a chance to play around much with my F5, (damned oregon rain!!!) and want to make sure when I go out for my first run that I have everything set the for ideal hunting. I know there are several different ways to configure this detector, depending on soil and what not, but seeing as my first detector was a bounty hunter tracker II, this is quite the step up. :)

Thanks

Leave search term empty / search mike hillis author / set for F Series / and last year- you should get 122 hits mostly F5 related.

Pasttom's advice is excellent. However, I find that many times a Guru like Mike Hillis offers valuable info that is posted outside of a specific search term (e.g. F5).

Select 'search'-->enter Mike Hillis in Search Authors box-->highlight Search All Forums-->select All Dates-->click on Search button.

This will bring up over 2400 posts by Mike Hillis. Enjoy the man's vast knowledge.

or, go to his member profile page (find a post he made and click on his name) and then click on 'show all posts'.
