New member
New to this Hobby,

Choice of the F5 or F 5 DD which would you chose and Why..

Making my list for upcoming Holiday.

Thanks
Chuck

What type of hunting are you mainly planning?

I take it that you know that the F5 is an F5 and the only difference is the coils?

On my Omega I use the 11" DD over the 10" concentric ALL the time! (I have both coils)
On the Omega the 11" DD is deeper,
ID's better.
I can cover a lot of ground but it still hunts a narrow path.

Mark

I'd recommend you get the standard and buy the 11 DD coil as an accessory.

or buy the F5 DD and get the 10" coil as an accessory as it would be cheaper buying the 10" coil buy itself as compared to buying the 11" DD coil by itself.

I use both, taking both coils with me and switching out as it becomes necessary. As Mark said, the 11" DD is deeper, but sometimes you need the smaller coil due to trash or EMI, or just needing to get closer to large above ground metal.

METAL detectors don't find old bottles whether it be an F5 or a F5DD:shrug: Unless they still have the caps:rofl:
