Fisher F4 user input/field tests???...

Hey,
Ive been looking at Fisher Detectors, Specifically the F4. I'm very interested in the 0-99 ID ing but there are few field tests and reviews on the web! Can anyone who has used one leave some input on how it performs, ID ing accuracy, depth, is it a good jewelry detector? Any Problems, detectors for same price that perform better, ect... Input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
The Buck

Light as a feather, excellent ID and notch, pinpoints well if you hold directly over the beep when you pinpoint as it detunes and gives you a right on pinpoint, solid 6 inch unit with 5 year warranty and I believe some dealers still have the package that comes with an acc coil. Handles coins, jewlery and relic hunting well and for the price is certainly most bang for the buck relative the competition from other companies in this price range. An added plus is this unit has few if any problems which further adds to the units integrity..Certainly can't compare depthwise to the $1.000 units so I use one locally and when I want a depth demon I just grab my CZ which has proven itself since 92...

Thank you for your input, Sounds like a good machine, however it would be nice if it could handle reading deeper,

The secret to depth with the F4 is to use the Auto Tune All Metal Mode with ground balance and threshold. That unfiltered Mode in combination with the 11" DD coil gets extreme depth even in soil with mineralisation ! For the money this detector can't be beat.
