I was just wondering if anyone knew when the F2 was going to be released. I recently got the F4 (and I love it) and I'm trying to figure out what detector would be good for me to get my 9 year old son. I was thinking maybe the F2 if it's out before Christmas might be a good choice. If anyone has a good suggestion for a detector for a young kid let me know. I don't want something so cheap he feels like dad is unfair finding all the good stuff!! The only other detector I'd considered was the Garrett Ace 150 or 250 but I'd rather stay with Fisher or BH. I'm also primarily a beach hunter.

Fisher F2 maybe a good 1st detector for kids?
