New member
1. I have no rubber washer for the lower rod. Are they missing ?

A: No, rubber washers are just not needed and the lower rod fits very nice between the coil "ears".

2. Is the F2 made in China ?

A: I have personaly seen the machine that makes the 8" coils and I've seen many people working in the factory at assembly lines, They didn't look chinese too me either
That was all that i could catch with my spy eyes.:surrender:
That's it for now...

Hello Andy:

Andy:

That report you gave was great. I wonder if you could check something when you have time.

I took my Ace 250 and did some

Good morning the friends American
In France our stockists accept Fischer F2 in december.
I am curious to see on our lands duel ACE 250 vs Fischer F2.
Bye
Frenchmetal.

I balance the detector on two plasic chairs outside away from any power lines and other electrical stuff.
Make sure to remove any metal from your hand and fingers. No Metal should be close to the coil (Belt Buckles)

On the Ace 250 i used No notch and All metal mode at full sensitivity.

Quarter with standard coil : 9" with 4.5 coil : 6.5 "

Dime with standard coil : 8" with 4.5 coil : 6"

F2 with 4" coil does about an inch better than the Ace.
F2 with stock coil (only 8" coil) is about half an inch deeper on a Quarter. In real world conditions the F2 was way more stable than the Ace at high sensitivity settings.
The recovery speed of the F2 is faster too. Read my "First day out with the F2" post for more comparison of the two.

For the Garrett fans: I do still like the Ace 250 too. The F2 just pushes the value level a step higher.
