Fisher F2 + DD coil = $15.16 in under 3 hours

and that doesn't count the $4 dollars I found with the Tracker IV using the DD coil the hour before. My F2 showed up Friday and I got to use it today. I ran it with the F4DD coil that came in earlier in the week for a couple of hours at a local school. Best thing about it is that it keeps the last number displayed until you go over something else. Light, easy to swing, and great coverage with the DD. I like the large display, tone id and ease of use. Not very complicated.

Seemed to lock in ID number wise pretty good in the turf with the DD coil. The Recovery and seperation were what I would expect with a DD. Ran pretty stable and quiet in the turf. A bit of falsing in the sand like all presets do here but nothing troubling.

I like it. Its a keeper. I had just bought a Tracker IV to use with the DD coil but I'm liking the F2 better. It actually has a good chance of replacing the Golden uMax as my most favorite fun machine.

Thanks Mike.
Hope more people will post their experiences about the F2.

How is pinpointing with the standard F4coil. Where is the pin point located.
Maybe you can return your Tracker IV machine? Unless of course
you want a back up machine.

BTW how well does the Tracker IV operate. What are its
good points and bad points in your opinion?

Regards

Robert, I'll have to talk myself into using the stock coil. I just really like DD coils for modern parks/schools.

Andy NM has pictures of the faceplate on his website at www.Fisherf75.com so you can see where all the buttons are.

The Tracker IV is a nice machine, too. I listed it for sale last night but I'm going to keep it as it has its place. It's strengths are its price, user adjustable tone id and automatic iron rejection in the two Disc modes.

I took the F2 out again this morning to a soccer field and added another 4.16 to my jar just from one sideline area. Rusty steel bottle caps give high tones but have bouncing number
