Fisher F2 and presets- Please help!

I'm trying to make a decision on my first detector. Can someone please tell me if the F2 will keep its user defined presets when switching to Pinpoint mode and back again? Thank you for any help.

Yes! it holds the current settings after pin-pointing.
Now, if you power it off it defaults backs to factory out of the box settings.

Keep in mine that detectors like the F2 doesn't have a LOT of settings to begin with,
Sensitivity,
Notch,
and pin-point
that's it.

And I will say that for a simple detector and for its price its probably one of the best entry level detectors out there!
If you move up later the F2 is still good to keep around for a back up, a loaner, set it up for tot-lot hunting.

It takes virtually seconds to set this thing up any way you want with that notching feature, so when you shut it down and lose your settings it is no big deal to reset it when you turn it back on.
Love mine...found some of my best stuff with it, including some big gold.

Found my first gold ring with my f2:thumbup: MarkCZ is right,Its a good back up machine. I leave the 4" coil on my and use it in the totlots.

get one and the two coil deal
4 inch and 8 inch

great for coins and stuff on parks

the pin point is fantastic with a slightly advanced technique
