Fisher F-Point report

Here's what I found with this pin pointer. Sensitivity to a penny (air test) about 1 inch. That's just fine with me. I don't want a pin pointer that'll go 3" inches or more. 1 inch is plenty. Very low beep volume. I doubt you could hear it with headphones on, or in a noisy environment. Not good. Has vibrator. But again, I doubt you would feel it with gloves on. Sorry I can't give this pin pointer a better report. But that's how I see it. For me....... I don't care about hearing it, I don't wear gloves. Maybe it will be Ok for me. I still wouldn't buy a Garrett, my opinion..........

Looking for a cheap but working ProPointer.....isn't everybody. What do you have? It doesn't have to be overly pretty. Thanks, Ron.

Did you have a change of heart ????????????? I think you might like the Propointer it goes a couple inches or a little deeper most of the time..

Well elton, thats good. I fired off an E-mail to Fisher early today, hoping I just got a bad one. I haven't heard from them......yet? I've found I can make this thing louder by leaving the battery cover off and affixing the battery to the pinpointer body with rubber bands, imagine. The open battery compartment actually enhances the audio. (not really audio, the thing uses an oscillating relay to form a buzzing sound and at the same time a rather weak vibration.) Ya-know, I hate to admit it, but if I'm stuck with it, I can probably use it in this Red Neck configuration. And oh, these things are my opinion only, not to be considered insults, hate speech, or other forms of silly-buggerishness.
