Fisher CZ-6a is doing fine

Since last Monday I've been hitting my "old farm house lawn" here in upstate New York using my CZ-6a picking up a few keepers. This lawn has been gone over by your truly three or four times using other detectors. The best coin previously found was a 1910 Canadian Dime with a Tesoro BandidoIIMM. This last so far I came out with: 1907 & 1899 Barber Dime, 1907 Indian Head penny,,a 1837 Large Cent and another coin which is soaking in oil that looks like a Vermont or Connecticut Copper from the 1700's. I hope to post some pictures in about a weeks time . That CZ-6a is sure a fine unit.

Good job Aldus  post those pics when you can.

What features of the CZ-6a do you attribute to your success - or is it just because you eliminated some of the trash with your other hunts and maybe now are focusing on the good spots? I know one site we searched many times before we found the best spot. Then once we concentrated on that spot it didn't matter which detector we used the finds started coming.

I have a spot 6 X 6 where I always find coins no matter which direction I swing. Come at it from diff. directions an more wheaties spring up till no more sounds. Come back another day and there are a few more. I over lap and it just seems like someone is seeding the area when I am gone.

Mirage, first thing I do is get the GB as close spot on as possible;usually a hair below 6 or 5.5 in my soil, sens 2-4 and volume @4. Even after getting all the adjustments right it's good picking one day and junk the next. The last day was junk (nails) but next time I figure on a few keepers??? I still can't figure out this one day good ,next day bad.
