I had a nine year old CZ-20 that began to shock me when under water. I hesitated about sending the unit in because of it's age and lack of warranty, and primarily, because of some of the posts that I read stating the excessive repair bills encountered by some people. I called the company and tried to purchase the head phones separately so I could repair the unit myself, and I was told that they would not due that with an underwater unit. I was adamant that I was not going to spend half the value of a new unit to repair and old one, and they reassured me that they would check it out and call me before they did anything. A little over a week later, I received a call, stating that the unit has been basically replaced, using only my old housing and coil, and would be sent back to me at no cost. I have to admit, I was blown away at heir generosity, and friendly staff. I've used the unit for several weeks now, and it works flawlessly.
Maybe this is the result of company restructuring, but as for me, I'm extremely satisfied, it was a pleasure to deal with a company that stands behind it's products in this manner, and I would be very confident in buying another Fisher product.
