Fisher Coinstrike Detector - Ribbon Cable

I'm in the middle of re-assembling a Coinstrike and was wondering if anyone could tell me which way to orient the ribbon cable that goes from the LCD Assembly to the circuit board. There is a white mark on the connector of the cable but no corresponding marks or indicators on the circuit board. I would really appreciate some guidance on getting this cable connected correctly.
