FISHER COINSTRIKE, DEPTH

Prester

Years ago I was carrying the Coisntrike, 1270 and Minelab Advantage in the car at the same time and had the opportunity to compare them on undug deep targets. One day I happened on a spot where fill had been added to the depth of around 8-10" with coins 2-4 inches below that in the original ground. All three detectors gave pretty much the same quality of signal on all targets.

Coinstrike with 10.5" coil, 1270 with 8" coil and the ML Advantage with an oversize aftermarket equipped coil.

They were all marginal signals but in those conditions worth digging. If I remember correctly I dug 4 or 5 coins and one very large silver ring in this small 15' by 15' area. The C$ and Advantage gave the 'best' signals due to the coil size whereas the 1270 gave the usual edge of depth target response... kinda like a weak partially disced out sound which 1270 users know are worth checking out.
