Well I managed to get out with the F4 yesterday. I have wanting to get into the field with a production F4 after my experience with the F4 prototype. I was looking forward to seeing just what, if any changes were present.

John Gardiner has done the circuit design for the F4, and I was told that it should be reminisce of George Payne

All the old pics show a three digit id number. Does it still give a three digit id number or a two digit number?

Thanks,

Mike

It is a 2 digit display.

Right at the present time I can't do a photo, but I do need to grab a better photo for my web site. Perhaps within the next day ???

Can you tell us what the manual says about battery usage. It does appear alot like the 3300/3000 detector. Uses the same coils and same battery set up and pretty much the same features. I know the 3000 only got about 11-15 hours on a set of two 9Vs. Be nice to see this machine get 30 or more hours from a set. Let us know what you notice on battery times if you would. Thanks for update also.

No mention in manual about battery life.

I can assure you that this is NO 3300/3000. Out side of it's somewhat looks, it's not even close.

The first time one puts it in their hand it will become quite apparent. Just the rods alone is almost worth the switch.

The performance is what's important, and there is no 3300/3000 that could even Begin to come close to a F4. I'll even go one step further and state there is No modern Bounty Hunters that could compete with the F4. :yikes:
