Fisher 1280x Water Hunt

Got out metal detecting with my Fisher 1280x in a lake. On my way there I ran across a peculiar sign that read "Zombies Beware" The Zombies must have hit the lake just before me as there was no silver to be found but I did manage to make some cool finds including some rings, earrings, coins and an old lead toy.
 
I have a newer 1280 on the way. Been watching your videos on YouTube . Do you have any advice on how you set this machine up? This will be my first water detector. I finally got the urge to take the water detecting plunge !
