Fisher 1280X VS Salt water

Guys I need some help...
I know that Aquanaut is not very good in salt water.
Probably best use for it is fresh water lakes and rivers.
But I am in position to detect salt water lake with high salinity %.
Man made lake with pebbles /few hot rock/ bottom.

I did few hours on it and I got results but 1280x is falsing on sensitivity 7 or more (to max 11).
I had it all the way to 11 in fresh lake.
Beach is fine to detect on max sensitivity.

Now I got 5-6 stable and 7 with few false signals - going slowly helps.
I am still in shallows where salt is not very high %.

With sensitivity on 5-6 and disc on 3 I get only disc out beeps on some iron coins.
Bigger iron and very few good targets. Got silver rings and few bigger coins.
I am probably very shallow.
Lake will be drained in month or two.

I can detect dry stuff with my other detectors.

One of the things I was told about the 1280x is to keep the coil submerged. Having it get covered and uncovered by water causes more falsing and instability.

Best of luck
