I thought I done pretty good for a couple hours of hunting and beating off the mosquitoes and ticks! I believe the one big bullett is a .69 caliber French Confederate bullett first one I have ever found are these rare? I would have hunted longer but I about needed a blood transfusion, I have never seen that many man eaters flying around me before next time I go the repellent will be with me!! I just got this Fisher 1270 and I had to try it out, I believe its definetly a keeper!!! I had the 10-1/2" coil on it, and the bulletts were any wheres from 3 -11" deep.

AMC I really wish I had got one a long time ago!! The iron disc. Is the best thing since sliced bread!! I had hammered this spot with quite a few other detectors and never found that many bullets in such a short period. Several of the bullets gave me just a light whisper and you can guess just about how deep they are by using the pinpoint it seems quiter the deeper the target!! God I love this machine!!!

88junior,
Now that is what the 1270 is all about, seems like our trade was meant to be. You got a relic monster and I got coin monster.

I have to agree with you on that Ron I have got my hunting needs covered with this 1270 for relics and I also have a CZ-5 for coin hunting! I just got a Hot Head 12" coil for the 1270 I will have to test it out and I will let you know my results!! I am glad the CZ-3D is working out for you!! Keep us posted on your finds with it!!

I think it's a older machine that has had the bugs fixed on it! I use to use a 1266x but I believe this 1270 is better at iron infested sites I found these bullets where I had hunted a ton with a 1266x.

Your right on the bugs worked out, it was sent back to factory a few months after I got it for repair and bug removal.

JR are you telling me that the 1270 is a deeper machine than the CZ's?

The CZ and 1270 are about equal on depth I love both but when Civil War hunting I grab the 1270 due to it's iron handling capabilities!! I was using the 1270 with 10-1/2" coil and now have a 12" HotHead coil and hope it gives me even more depth on the 1270. I had used a 1266x in this area before but the small iron in this area would drive you nuts but with the 1270 it picked these bullets right out of those iron laden places. If you haven't tried a 1270 try one!! I don't think you will regret it!!
