Fisher 1266X users, lend an ear!

When bench testing my 1266XB(standard coil), I cranked my sens and disc to the max and found nickles and dimes (nickle clad) does not discriminate out! That's gold and ring territory.
A very fine gold chain with no clasps on it still is heard at 10 disc @2 inches. (micro jewelry test)
All the while 3"nails are discriminated out completely.
Common doctrine dictates to use as little discrimination as possible for jewelry retention.
Have I stumbled on a new facet of the many venerable Fisher 1266X capabilities?
Anybody else use this setting for hunting?
Gentlemen, start your machines and check back!
