Fisher 1266 vs Tesoro Tejon

The reson I was asking this is that I live in an area where most everyone uses a 1266 and they perform very well. I was wanting something that would give me an edge. Any suggestions?

Both of these machines in capable hands would be close to a tie....I would give a slight edge on depth to the 1266...but a slight edge on discrimination to the Tejon...
If you want a real "edge" get an F-75... The 75 is truly a great relic machine....At first, I started swinging the coil at a normal pace and was getting great depth on target but I have found that if you slow down just a little, the machine will see even deeper... If you have tried the F-75 and it is a little "noisy" for you, then the T-2 is great, especially on deep brass..... Best to you, Richard

For absolute depth you may have trouble finding something with an edge. :)

My advice to you would be don't go off setting your sights for a detector that will have a edge over the 1266 as far as depth. Yes, I can name a few that would do about the same depth, but this doesn't necessary relate to better.

Seing this is a Fisher forum, any of these should do well, and there all very deep units. Fisher detectors, 1265X, 1266X, 1270, F-75, Coinstrike.
