Fisher 1235X vs Tesoro Cibola

Are these two pretty much comparable? They look to have pretty much the same features except for the Cibola has a Threshold and the Fisher is a silent search. How do they compare as far as performance?

My favorite between these two is the 1236X2,but the Cibola is a nice unit and has a large following.The 1235X though is a little different and older unit,which leads to another question,does the 1235X have the same performance of the 1236X2? Good Luck Ron

I have used both machines. I used the Cibola for a while liked it enough to go and buy the Vaquero, for the GB function. I used a 1235x for the summer and wished I had the 1236x2, 1236 has the "silencer control right?. If your ground is mild get the Cibola and save a few bucks, set it once and forget about it. If your hunting grounds have diverse soil conditions get a Vaq. The cibola has a nicer battery setup only 1 9 volt rather than the two doors. I was hunting for 15 minutes or more in the shallow surf before I realised one of them had fallen out.....my bad duuhhhh. Velcro straps got put on the next day.
