Fisher 1225X depth.

I bought a 1225X a while ago and it seems to have very good depth. Anyone know if it's the same as a 1236X2 without the bells and whistles?

Lurksalot, the 1225X is no slouch,a great seeded hunt detector.Has more of a problem with electrical interference than the 1235X or 1236X2.Still not a bad detector and would be an excellent pick for a comp detector.Good Luck Ron

The 1225X is a 1235X without the adjustable frequency feature.

As a competition machine the 1225 is at a bit of a disadvantage because of the lack of that feature.

I know 1235 users that have tested the 1236X2 and favored the 1235. For one thing the silent search masks
weak and deep signals that can be heard with a 1235X.

I bought a 1235X new in the 80's, I still use it, and it works really well at finding all kinds of stuff.
