Fish Hook Cactus

Well-known member
I've had this for almost 20 years and it has bloomed twice.

I don't know Kelly, I've heard that they have to be in right conditions for them to bloom. I also have a Golden Barrel Cactus that I bought in Arizona in 1994 and it's not bloomed either.

Speaking of the Golden Barrel Cactus....One day my son was outside playing basketball and the ball bounced and hit the cactus. It was so funny because the ball stuck to the needles and didn't move one bit. Needless to say, we had to buy another basketball for him. We were laughing so hard and it's still so fresh in my mind watching that ball fly to the cactus and instantly stop in mid flight.

collection of all types of Cactus. If you have some free time, do a search of some of the Cactus pictures he has posted. They fascinate me. Kelley (Texas) :)
