First year Compadre came out ?

Got mine almost 4years ago and it sure is a good little tool. Been good to me too. Paid for itself over 3 times in limited use. But My hunting has altered some with age so moving up to the Mojave. If I can squeeze just a little more out of it, I'll be more than happy.

been around a long time in some form or another I think amigo 2 is 1st but I am prob wrong but from what I can gather the 7" coil one is a better board than the 6" but all that is subjective I am sure...

so if the Mojave is a newer newer board then sure hope it does well for you

the coil looks the biz lets hope it lives up to the looks !!

Compadre since 2000, but based on Amigo II circuit which came out in '96. Compadre is an old, but effective detector.
Mojave, regardless of how "new" its circuit is, offers what Compadre has, PLUS greater depth, 'cause you're able to crank sensitivity and run a bit negative on ground balance.
Over the years, people have been modifying Compadres to make them like the new Mojave. Now you can have those mods with a factory warranty, for not much more than the cost of a new Compadre.

Might be old...but young at heart.

These kids today and their new fangled geeky technocrap.
I, for one, don't need no Mojave.
Don't want no Mojave.
Looking at finds from a Mojave.
Wonder how well a Mojave will work in my devil dirt.
Maybe I should think about getting a Mojave.

Crap...must...resist...but it's hard.

I know...I will take my Compadre out and find stuff, enough to pay for a Mojave.
That will make me feel better.

I bought a new, 7" Compadre in the late 90s. I believe it was a fairly new addition to the line at that time.

hard-wired 7" Concentric coil and lives on today. It is my belief that we'll see a model-line change in the near future with the new Mojave replacing both the Compadre and Silver microMAX. Considering we're coming up on 5/'17 when it will finish its 17th year of production, it has gained quite a following.

Well I'm glad I have both my models, but that Mojave looks like a promising replacement. Don't see a need for it in my stable with what I own but new people to the hobby don't seem to be losing out if you're correct and the Mojave replaces those 2.
I really want that coil!! Looked long and hard for my Troy shadow super 7 and now they have a new version :)
