Good evening all, today marks one week since I first got my new toy. This machine is awesome. I now strictly hunt in the Pro zero mode. I find that I really like listening to iron. Call me crazy, but I find good targets that are relatively close to iron sound way better when listening to the iron vs not listening to it. Just my opinion.
I hunted every night starting last monday. I didn't get skunmked at all the first 7 hunts, tonight I did get skunked. I was pretty much just digging everything above iron tonight at a school I went to last week. Now for the totals:
(10) wheaties
(1) 1942-S war nickel
(2) silver Roosies, 1951 and 1952
(1) sterling silver Holy communion charm, there is a date engraved on the back of 5-11-96
(1) .925 silver ring
(1) 10K gold ring that "had" an opal in it.
The silver dimes were a solid 8" deep. The war nickel was 6 1'2" deep and the rest of the goodies were about 1 - 5" deep. All in all I think I had a spectacular first week with the AT Pro. I seriously thought my first week I may find a goodie or two, but never woulda thought I would have found 16 keepers, especially in pounded areas that I've personally hunted for the last 10 years. I honestly feel like a pro when I use the machine. Thank you all for your tips and suggestions, it definitely worked to my advantage, HH
