First Two Hunts With C$

RLOH

Well-known member
I got the C$ out for two hunts and the detector did pretty good. No silver, but 9 wheats and one 1911 Canadian large cent. Most of these coins were in the 6 to 8 inch range. I did find three nickles and it came back to me that nickles were a wierd signal unless they were less than two inches deep. If the nickle was four or five inches deep, I would get a nickle number(9-11) and a mid tone. When I checked it from a 90 degree angle, the numbers got higher and the tones changed. It seems that every C$ that I have owned has acted in this manner. All in all, I really like these detectors and I will keep this one. It is a very forgiving detector that you can swing fast or slow and it is as good as any in the trash. R.L.

I just hunted an old park with my C$ & had a ball & did about the same. You forget how great it is for old coins like deep wheats & indian heads.......
