First trip out with a borrowed MXT

I borrowed a buddies MXT for a trip to a gold mining claim in the Kenai Mountains here in Alaska. My wife and I wanted to try it out in our front yard to get the feel of it. After searching for less than 5 minutes, the MXT readout said "ring" on the target meter. We started digging and found a 14k gold, diamond and aquamarine ring. My wife was pretty excited and that was all she needed to make a believer out of her. She said "let's buy one of these MXTs". That was an easy sell!!!!

Congratulations!!! That is the kind of find that causes a semi-permanent smile. They do not happen every day but are a true thrill when they do.

The versatility of the MXT makes it a perfect fit In your part of the country. Considering your wife's reaction, you may need to consider 2 machines if you want any hunt time yourself.

Let us know how you do up at the claim.

May all your finds be great ones,
Bob

Fantastic find and like Bob said, "They do not happen every day but are a true thrill when they do." I wouldn't part with my MXT and glad Larry has his own machines to use. We love hunting together and maybe you two will also. It's one interesting hobby to say the least! HH to all, Nancy

Thats is a great find, I thought there was gold in alaska.
