First token....

I found my first token last night, and it's an old one. It has a clothing store name and address that is at least from the 50's.
The address is where the police station is, and that was built in the early/mid 60's. My mom (84 years young) remembers
the row of stores there, but never heard of this one. The token has lots of stuff on it.. $1.00 off any $10.00 purchase, good luck,
honor-service-satisfaction. Also reads "clothing for credit , the store name and address. Will post a pic when i figure that out.
I talked to the library, and they have city directories going back to 1911. Heading down there soon to look for this listing.
Man, this is my best find yet, even better than the gold ring! I found it about 7 inches down, buried in thick clay. The Ace
was giving me fits... 2 bars on the batteries, and have had the coil cover on. Will take that off and see if that was causing the
erratic behavior. Also found a 2000 Ecuadorian penny. Have found 95 coins for $5.44 so far, the ring and this token.
Sorry for the long wind, but this old thing really has me pumped. Will try the pics later.

This "Ladies and Men's clothing and millinery" store was at was at this address from 1914
thru 1928. At that point , it is no longer listed in the city directories. Prior to 1914 it was at
another address than listed on the token. My oldest find ever!

That is quite a token!

That is a nice token. Some of those old tokens are worth a few bucks.

Mine doesn't have an address on it. I never heard of the store.
