First time with safari

So I take my new Safari out to the beach for the first time and having a great time when I sweep over an area and get like a quick thud sound. I go back over it and it does the same thing again but then I can't seem do duplicate the sound again. I kept going over and over the area but nothing. What could it be? Oh, and the number was in the 30's but I don't remember which one. Thanks!

That's a new one on me Ocean. I have never heard a thud on my machine. Probably just some trash if you could not get a sustained signal. What mode were you using?

Was it an overload? Big targets like cans will show the word OVERLOAD on the screen. Kinda strange you couldn't duplicate the sound tho

I heard a similar sound once, if I am following you correctly. It was a low pitched thud/bleet over a large piece of iron and the sound (in the woods, no headphones) actually called in a small fawn to within a few feet of me. I almost loaded up my britches when I saw him out of the corner of my eye.
