first time in the water using my I.D.Edge i found this large gold earring(plated) and the silver plated ring with alittle clad but i had a blast[attachment 29836 goldchain.jpg] thanks for looking

Nice ones Deerman. I am also finding the Edge to be a very capable wading detector for fresh water. The sensitivity to small stuff like earring backs and BB size lead at good depths is absolutely amazing for a "coin" machine.

Brad you should give yours a try down there. Under the right conditions the 1270 will beat it, but having the GB makes it "fit" more areas. Most people are not aware of the mineralization issues found in fresh water lakes and how it affect sensitivity to small stuff. In my lakes I have to lower the sensitivity to 6 before attempting to GB, otherwise you get the 4 beeps every time. Once balanced raise the sens to 8-9 and it will hit small stuff with ease and with none of that ferrous/non-ferrous bouncing business on even the smallest of targets. Solid foil locks every time, I really like that!

and performance like you said would definitely beat what I'm running now in the water.

What I do and have done for years with the Fishers is put it on a regular belt which I run across my chest over one shoulder and then under the other arm. The box stays tight to your chest without a need for any other straps.
