First time water detecting with AT PRO`

I had just received my new sand scoop and couldn't wait to try it out, but where? All I had was a little lake near by that had a closed beach for several years. So I decided to try the scoop and my AT Pro in water for the first time. I ground balanced the detector in the water and it balanced to a reading of 43. in a half an hour I found the following items. a piece of iron, can slaw, aluminum can,2 memorial pennies,a fishing lure, a 3 oz sinker, earring and a gold ring. The gold ring turned out to be plated. Needless to say I am really impressed with this detector in fresh water. I firmly believe this detector is a best buy for the new and experienced metal detectorist. It is a blast to use.

Hope it's the first of many....and yes it is a "best buy for the new and experienced metal detectorist".....
