Finally got around to taking a photo of my first finds after getting my V3 updated.
The detector performed great, got to get back into really learning this detector since it has almost unlimited potential.
I have been detecting since 1973 on and off and used almost every brand and model and I like this detector.
That being said I am really an amateur on setting it up and all the adjustments that can be done.
So far what I have gravitated to is the hi pro, boost on, this was with 10"DD coil which I find works great.
The deepest bullet I got from these and many were at that depth was 10" in the ground with 2" of leaves.
If you notice many are flattened and some of them were on the side or pointing up or down leaving a small surface area to find that is why I believe many of these are still in the
here after over 30 years of people detecting here.
In the past with the V3 and maybe the vision when I first got it I got some bullets measured 14" and one 1"x2" shell fragment at 16" measured.
This ground is very sandy and low minerals with some EMI in the area that is annoying but tolerable. I think the deeper stuff I got in the past was with the 950 loop but I usually
only found about 10 bullets in the same time frame so got deeper with the 950 but covered less ground especially at depth so that is why the difference after many trips here.
I tried to take a video of an 8" bullet the sound and how it was reading and it is on my old phone so if I can figure out how to get it off and post or upload it I hope I can share it
but until then hope the pictures will do. There is not much brass here since it is in between the Confederate and Union Lines and mostly shot with occasional dropped bullet (1) on this trip, one percussion cap but I was ignoring some of the really low number like 1 on the target ID since you get tired sometimes of digging the tiny bird shot etc.
I hope this works since I have never tried posting a photo here before, Thanks for looking, Jerry
