First time out with Totlec II

Merc

New member
Took my new(old) Toltec II out to an old school house. Found a few pieces of trash and then hit Silver!

Merc

Nice find, and......... that Toltec ll will still do the job!

I managed to scratch it in one spot. I had dug nothing but trash until the quarter. I figured it was trash.
I should have known because it was a smooth deep-sounding signal at 5 inches. It was at a schoolhouse where
I had found silver before but not in a long time. Got cold and left after that.

That quarter should have ID'ed well into the green 'coin range' on the analog meter, and with the smooth signal, that type of target is always good:thumbup: Don't worry about that scratch you put on that coin because we all have done that.

It did ID well into the green coin area of the meter. It was the only thing that day that did. I was thinking it was a piece of an aluminum can.

nice find
