First time out with new Deus

undertoe

Member
Received my new ws4 Deus from Vance,on Wednesday. I purchased the 9" and the 11"coils. On this hunt I ran the 9".
Got into the woods yesterday, first target, the thimble at about 5". I ended up digging the Indian and a 1927 roasted wheatie.
This machine is a beast.I can't wait till I learn how to use it...lol
On my way home I hit my buddies yard,a place that has been very good to me and my GTI 2500. I started hunting this yard last year and it has produced six silvers, including a 1900 Barber Half. Lots of iron in certain parts of it. The deus sniffed out a 1941 merc with a 1948 Wheatley in the same hole. On my way out I hit the spoon, which I believe is silver plated.
So far I am very impressed with this machine,I can't wait to hit my other spots to see what else she can sniff out.
For this hunt I ran the basic 1 program.

Great first hunt. As you learn the Deus, you will pull even more from the fog of debris in the ground.
You won't always have great finds like these, but you will likely have more than you would see with other detectors (especially in previously hunted spots).

Thanks guys,I can't wait to learn the deus' language.I can see it's going to be a work in progress.
I'm also looking forward to posting some cool finds. I'm going to try to spice up this forum as I see it's gone a bit stale,,I just wish the camera was better on my iPad.
Keep the nice finds coming!!
