first time out with my cibola...wow!

GRAY GHOST

hello all, i bought a new cibola yesterday morning on the advice of some gentlemen on the metal detecting forum. i took it out to a battlefield ive been hunting for a while, wasnt there a hot 30 minutes and out of the ground nearly a foot deep came this 1819?!! [cant really make out a date] large cent. its a bit rough but its still a large cent! in short order followed a 52 cal. sharps bullet and several buck and balls [ the small shot the confederates used with the 69 cal. musketballs ] at an average depth of 8 in. apiece. i couldnt believe it! i had to take it out the pouch and look at it once in a while to make sure i wasnt in dreamland! i have this feeling me and and mister cibola are going to be real good friends. hh,

It's like a dream.
Cibola was my first Tesoro.
I was impressed right away,
I was sold in 30 minutes.

HH,

That's amazing, to get a foot deep, and make a great find!

I dug 10" once for a silver dime, and the soil was good as one could hope for.

Congratulations!

wow - WTG !!!
Cibola's due make good friends.
The Cibola was my first Tesoro and it seem like it was a matter of minutes about the weight, fast response, audio, spot on pinpointing, ease of use, and how about that kool color - Oh Yea
And that little uMax machine will get a bit extra depth in super tune when needed.
Didn't take long and wasn't using the pinpoint button anymore. Just X-ing the target gave a nice visual surface clue.
And how about that kool color -

n/t

Although I don't own a current new Tesoro, I still own an orginal Silver Sabre. My first find was a 1858 Flying Eagle on edge at about 9'' ! Found at a farmhouse that was hit dozens of times. Great find!! Hope you find many more...there GREAT detectors!!
