First time out with my 350

I managed to find 2 dimes and 5 pennies at a local school.....Most where at or near the top. I dug a few caps. I find myself listening and digging or rooting around and not looking at the screen....My first complaint is that it is not back-lit?...UGH. When I hit something sometimes it took a while to hit it again?........I realize that was my first time out and I have a lot to learn about detecting and my 350.....Trying to snow here so not sure what I will be able to do today.I really enjoyed it though.....Dave

If your not getting a good hit every swing over the target it's trash, however sometimes a deep coin turned up on the edge or even a deeper coin may only hit one way, don't worry about this for now, just dig good repeatable targets in the coin mode till you have a few hours on your detector.

2 dimes and 5 pennies is a good start That's more than I found with my first detector

I dug my first quarter today.........YEAHHHH.....Also dug A LOT of caps, foil, some kind of pc board or something, and some things I never found????.HHHHMMMMM.....I want to get better and learn how to notch things out etc and try to cut down on the trash....I realize by reading here I'll always dig some..I have to go grocery shopping for my sweetie so not sure how much if any time I will have this evening..Tomorrow looks a bit brighter time wise..........

Some things you never found? Sounds like the fun I have when working old farmsteads and hit bullet fragments or tiny pieces of iron. When it's in your hand and the PP sounds off on it, but you still can't see it. Frustrating.
