went out for an hour or so to test my new whites mx5 and did pretty good, a 1944 silver war nickle,a 1947 nickel, military button,a cufflink, and heart pendant..i think i like the new machine already lol.

This is Hombre's favorite detector! Ole' Shenandoah digger also! Must be something to these machines they are the Whites sleeper!

Man I love this thing. I especially like the way everything's laid out. It's so fast I don't even use the pinpoint most of the time. How do you like the silver tone? I mean it will stop you in your tracks.!:surprised:

love the hightones, this thing locks on coins..you definately won't miss something if your over it..super light also..cant wait to get out this weekend!!

I agree! this detector is underrated. I took mine to for the first time Sunday boy is it easy to use! and light. I traded my SE Pro for the MX5 because the Minelab killed my back and arms( yes I would have to switch arms to give the other a break) to me thats not enjoying the Hobby. I have to say the pinpoint is dead-on and the fact that by just pushing the pinpoint button you can switch back and forth from Disc. to All metal, genius! I was able to run the Sens. high and it was sooo quiet. Granted Our soil here in N.H. isn't as bad as some parts of the country. No lie I had this machine down pat in less than an hour. I just bought a 6x8 SEF and can't wait to put that bad boy on. I did not find much at the field we went to but it had been hunted many times. I did manage to get a tiny cuff button with the shank and it rang in loud and clear! I am very impressed with this machine! I have a seeded hunt this Sunday Ill let you know how things go. I will be using the stock coil so my impressions will be "right out of the box" honest.:whites:
