First Time Out With Metal Detector

First of all thanks for all of your tips from a previous post.

I started sweeping my back yard with my recently purchased Used Sovereign XS, and almost immediately heard a sound I assumed to be somewhat important. I started digging and at about 9 inches found what I think is a Chinese coin. I soaked it in baking soda for awhile and got most of the film off. If anyone knows what it is I'm curious.
