First time out with Explorer SE :twodetecting:

Finally upgraded from a Sovereign GT to an Explorer SE. At first, I was a little intimidated after reading the good and the bad about the detector. After today's short hunt, all of my worries have been put to rest :clapping: I normally hunt for Colonial and Civil War relics, but I decided to start off slow, like I did 7 years ago with the Sovereign. My buddy told me about a county park that was scraped, and I figured this would be a great place to get the feel for the machine. I went ahead and discriminated out everything except for coins and jewelry and then went to town. No problems with ID by sound or meter and had no problems whatsoever with pinpointing. Even dug one of the 3 wheaties in the same hole with a pulltab! Too bad the rain chased us away after an hour, I could smell some silver there :) Can't wait to get it into one of my old, trashier spots, and open her up :detecting:
